My life has been in a shambles and I have really not done justice to the two challenges, but anyone who wants to run the ten more miles challenge this year simply needs to run a 10 miler in January, report it, and get payment in by the end of February. Notice there is a paypal button to make it easier. If you need to send payment by snail mail, let me know and I will post my address. I am not going to require the entry page to be mailed to me this year, because it is a very informal run. Posting your first 10 mile run will signify that you are aware of and accept all liability for your run and yourself. In other words, don't come after me if you get Plantar Fasciitis, or IT Band Syndrome. And your family can't come after me if you run in front of a car, or off a cliff. Get it!? Good. As soon as the people start posting their 10 mile runs to this post, I will build the list of runners in the sidebar for us to keep track of. I apologize that I have not gotten a lot of promo going about this. I will be sending out a check to Kurt O's charity of choice (via him) in the coming week, and a check out to Cody's Crew Foundation which is a cancer charity researching neuroblastoma. Please post your 10 mile runs with some basic details (where run, date, friends?, etc.) to this post for the month of January 10 miler.

So Kurt.....
We are all waiting and watching to see if you go 110, and then 120 for next month. You have the victory sewn up, but you know there is extra charity money on the line if you can do these runs. This will serve as the post for November where you can report your run WHEN you do it.

Two Runners Remain!!! 80 miles this month!
Posted for the fact that there is an 80mph speed limit in West Texas...I am going to be there next week! And it is the 80 MILE MONTH! Two runners remain unless I have made a mistake...Kurt O, and John C! I know Kurt got his 80 at the BR 100 where he went something like 107 miles, turning around at the finish and running some backwards....John, are you going to keep us watching and get your 80 in!!!???? PLEASE give me a reason to look up a "90" image! :)A reminder; the One.....More.....Mile! Challenge registration is going to be opening up soon. By popular consensus we will start on November 1st, the same as last year. I had a vote and it won by a long shot.

July 70
Here is where you post your 70 mile month. We are down to 4 runners. I didn't drop Ed because he did get in his 60. Got to make him at least THINK about running the 70 this month to stay in the challenge.

June is your 60 mile month...

60 miles this month.
The race and the weather is heating up! With 6 runners left in the game, is anyone going to bag 100 miles in October?
I am going to go on record as stating that if anyone can bag all 12 months (making it to 120 miles in December) I will donate an extra 100 dollars out of my pocket for the charities. Does anyone else want to make a pledge if anyone makes it to 120 miles to add to my 100?
Don't forget runners - you CAN go over 24 hours to get your longer mileage efforts in. You CAN walk. You CAN take breaks (let's say 30 minutes max) like at an aid station...just not a multi-day type effort where you go home, sleep overnight and come back, etc. You CAN take a trailside nap if that is your thing. People do that in 100 milers. It's the honor system and it is for charity, so keep all that in mind. You know your effort.
